Laina Chan
Founder & CEO
An award-winning barrister with 20 years of legal practice, complemented by dual qualifications in Pure Mathematics and Law from the University of Sydney. A member of the Inner Court since 2019 Management Excellence cohort at Harvard Business School, her career is marked by numerous accolades:

Laina began her legal journey as a researcher for the Honourable Justice Clarke at the New South Wales Court of Appeal and worked with the Honourable Michael Kirby, AC CMG.
Over the years, she has witnessed the evolution of legal research tools, transitioning from laborious manual processes to the rapid, AI-driven capabilities of today. What once took a week in 1994 can now be accomplished in seconds with MiAI Law’s cutting-edge AI research tools.
